Special Education Dual Certification |

 Looking to become a special education teacher?
Earn your Special Education teaching certification, along with your elementary or secondary teaching certification. Trinity’s accelerated Teaching Certification program is available to both degree seeking students and those who already have a degree. Students will earn a Bachelor of Arts in Special Education along with their teaching certificates.
FORMAT
• 2 1/2 years of coursework (one night a week)
• 17 weeks (one semester) of student teaching
ELIGIBILITY
• Transfer at least 65 hours of previous college credit
(grade of "C" or better) 
• Minimum GPA of 2.7 in their chosen major
• Pass the Illinois Basic Skills test
• Complete the Adult Studies application for admission
• Submit the $25 application fee
START DATES 
• January (Palos Heights only)
• September (Palos Heights only)
TUITION
• $542 per credit hour (total tuition is $36,856)
• Tuition includes all books and study guides
• Financial aid is available to those who qualify
